Napoléon Bonaparte won the vast majority of his battles, building a large empire that ruled over continental Europe before its final collapse in 1815. He is considered one of the greatest commanders in history, and his wars and campaigns are studied at military schools worldwide. Napoleon's political and cultural legacy has endured as one of the most celebrated and controversial leaders in human history. Napoléon's final defeat was the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Even after his death in 1821, the surviving soldiers of Grande Armée revered his historic leadership. Each year on May 5, the anniversary of Napoléon's death, the veterans marched to Paris' Place Vendôme in full uniform to pay respects to their emperor. Jono Rotman is a Wellington born photographer now living in NYC, who gained valuable experience photographing New Zealand's prisons and psychiatric wards, before he approached New Zealand's largest gang. The Mighty Mongrel Mob has been around since the 60"s and today they're the largest gang in the country, with around 30 chapters across both islands.
